Firstly, I hope that everyone is keeping well. The last time I wrote this letter was 10th July. We have entered lockdown again. As before these bulletins will be on www.amberley.org.uk .
People who are clinically extremely vulnerable may still need our support. Over the next week I will contact the various self-help groups across our community to see if they are still planning to operate. I have spoken to the individual volunteers in our village and the majority are willing to continue to provide ad hoc support. Member of our pastoral team are available to call people who are struggling with loneliness.
It is likely that the next four weeks will create more hardship. We can respond to this by supporting charities like Marah, Stroud Food Bank and the Long Table.
Marah still need donations of toiletries, instant coffee and white sugar. Please drop any donations at the Rectory under the canopy at the back door.
The church will be open each day as normal for private prayer but with socially distanced seating
There will be two services broadcast this Sunday using Zoom, one at 8 o’clock and one at 10 o’clock. I will also publish an act of worship. If you are interested in these please contact me.
Listed below is an update from Minchlife about local businesses as well as other contact numbers.
Keep safe and keep in touch. Please call me on 873176 if you need help.
Have a good week

'Volunteers to be advised to practice all government advice, so frequent hand-washing, keep a safe distance (leave things on doorstep). They should collect receipts for any purchases and wait for payment before handing over purchases. Those who need help to be advised of receipt/payment structure and that this is a volunteer operation, nothing formal.
